How To Set Up Google Adsense For Domains
Change Namecheap Host Records For Use With Google Adsense
If you have a Namecheap domain name registration account and a
Google Adsense account whereby you only register and park
your domain names with namecheap, you may not be aware that you can change the namecheap host records for those parked domain names so that they are
hosted on your Google Adsense For Domains channel instead.
By doing this you can then have google adsense displaying google advertisements on the index pages of those namecheap parked domain names. You do nothing
with regards to the advertising. You just set up Google Adsense For Domains and let google do the rest. Google Adsense For Domains acts the same as Google
Adsense For Content in terms of advertisements being displayed and you get paid.
NEVER EVER promote your parked domain name, either before or after the set up of Google Adsense For Domains, simply because google will know you have done
so and therefore deny your domain name from using Google Adsense For Domains. Your domain name must be pure (newly created without promotion) in other
words.
In this section I am going to show you how to alter the namecheap host records and how to set up Google Adsense For Domains. So begin by logging into your Namecheap account, click on the MY ACCOUNT link and then on the VIEW link (under the heading Number Of Domains In Your Account).
Fig 1.0 Click on the VIEW link under the heading Number Of Domains In Your Account
Clicking on the VIEW link will take you to the Your Domains section of the website, which could also of been reached by clicking on the MANAGE DOMAINS menu-item. Anyway, once on the Your Domains section click on the domain name whose host records you want to change (Fig 1.1) in order to move onto the Modify Domains section (Fig 1.2). In this example I am changing the host records for my websitecreationservices.com domain name.
Fig 1.1 Click on the domain name whose host records you want to change
Fig 1.2 Click on the TRANSFER DNS BACK TO US link, if need be, to continue.
At this point you need to click on the ALL HOST RECORDS link under the Host Management heading (Fig 1.4 below), but if you cannot see that heading it will be because you have not changed your name servers (explained in the Change Name Servers section) over to namecheap. If this is the case for you; click on the TRANSFER DNS BACK TO US link (above), tick the option called TRANSFER DNS TO NAMECHEAP DEFAULT DNS (below) and then click on the SAVE CHANGES button to continue.
Fig 1.3 Tick TRANSFER DNS TO NAMECHEAP DEFAULT DNS and then click on SAVE CHANGES to continue
With the domain name's name servers pointed back to the default namecheap name servers, continue by clicking on the ALL HOST RECORDS link under the Host Management heading.
Fig 1.4 Click on the ALL HOST RECORDS link under the Host Management heading
Now comes the important part - Entering the host records information for google adsense. A part from your google PUB Number (google adsense account number) the following host records are standard google adsense host records settings, so just enter them as seen below.
Fig 1.5 Click on the SAVE CHANGES button to continue
In the www IP ADDRESS/URL edit box you need to type/paste in pub-xxxxxxxxx.afd.ghs.google.com where xxxxxxxxx is your 16 digit google
adsense account number (located in the top-right corner of your logged in Google Adsense page). The rest of the entries are as stated above. Once you
have entered them click on the SAVE CHANGES button to finish this side of the set up.
Now log-in to your Google Adsense account, select the ADSENSE SETUP tab (window) and then click on the ADSENSE FOR DOMAINS link. Doing so will take you
to the settings page (Fig 1.7 below) where you then need to click on the ADD NEW DOMAINS link to continue.

In this example I already have one domain name added, microsoftofficeforbeginners.com, which was automatically allocated a default channel. And this is the beauty of Adsense For Domains - Its set up is easy. The difficult part was the namecheap part, above.
After clicking on the ADD NEW DOMAINS link (above) you are then asked to enter the domain name(s) that you wish to use with Adsense For Domains (below) before clicking on the ADD DOMAINS button. In this example I am adding the new domain of websitecreationservices.com.
Fig 1.8 Add one or more domain names, select a langauge and then click on the ADD DOMAINS button
Once one or more domain names have been added you just wait until google verifies each domain name and more importantly approves them.
Fig 1.9 Now waiting for google to verify and approve this domain name.....
Fig 1.10 .....the domain name has been approved - I now have two domain names approved.
When a domain name has been approved you just wait for the payments!! Google will put advertisements on your index page, which is now hosted on their server. You can edit the keywords of your approved domain name(s) and set up a channel for it/them, but in my case I prefer to let google do what it knows best! To edit keywords just go into your google adsense account and edit the Adsense For Domains settings (not shown here).
